Performed as part of the Wreck City project in Calgary, where 9 houses in the Kensington neighbourhood slated for demolition were transformed into art installations. At the same time, the house my parents lived in for 40 years was being sold, and preliminary development underway. Through a mistake by city workers, 60 year old trees were mistakenly cut down.
During Wreck City, visitors were invited to take part a series of fireside chats at the 809 pit, using wood gathered from 528. Informal conversations about the transformations of the city were encouraged (and recorded). These discussions took place from roughly 5:28 to 8:09 P.M.
